The title of this blog is "What's on", because that is the title of the new page that has been added to each of the following DANCE SITES:

The purpose of the "What's on" page, is exactly that ..., to let people know what is on. If you have a regular event on a certain day of the week each week, whether it be dancing or some sort of entertainment, then let me know abolut it, and which of the above site(s) it is suitable for. As with other listings on these sites, the listing is FREE. If you would like a link to your web site, that can also be obtained in exchange for a reciprocal link from your site back to the site in question.

Each of the above sites also have a "Dance Suppliers" page, for any firm supplying to dancers or dance studios etc. This page also has been added fairly recently.

In addition to the free listing, you may wish to place an advertisement on the above pages, or any other pages of the sites listed. Paid advertisements are inexpensive, and are of a fixed size. They can be either in "Flash Movie" format, or gif format. We can design and produce these advertisements for you if you provide the information you require.Details are on the home pages of each of the sites listed above.

Brisbane Social Dance Scene

Strictly Ballroom, has started social ballroom dance events in Brisbane. Their first was conducted last Saturday night at the University of Queensland, and I have been told it was very successful. Well done Karen Amos and the others with you conducting this event. Strictly Ballroom have a listing, and a link to their web site, on the "What's on" page of the Brisbane Dance directory.

Aussie Dances start their regular Saturday night dances in Brisbane with LIVE MUSIC on Saturday 18 August. So if you live in Brisbane, or you are visiting Brisbane on any occasion, be sure to check out these dances at a venue somewhere in Brisbane every Saturday night. There is also a link to Aussie Dances web site on the "What's on" page of the Brisbane Dance Directory.

Neither of the two new social dance events mentioned above are involved in teaching. And, I am sure both will promote any dance school or teachers that are supportive of these dances.

I understand a commercial dance venue has also recently started Saturday night social dance sessions in Brisbane. Things certainly are looking up for the dancers of Brisbane.
